A quick hello from a train somewhere between Hamburg and Berlin. I haven't written much here in awhile - it's always a balance between writing/updating and living. I've been doing a lot more living lately. I'm currently in week 2 of my month-long European vacation. I've already spent time in Copenhagen and Belgium. I'm now on my way to Berlin for a few weeks, then off to Zurich for a small chunk of time. For any of you who have as large a travel bug as I do, you probably feel a little envy reading this - and you should. It's great out here. However, the grass is always greener and imagining my beautiful hometown makes my stomach yearn for leisure and some level of sedentariness. Because, as always, though I'm technically on vacation, I have still managed to cram a whole lot of work into a very small space...

After I finish in Japan with Ra Ra Riot, I will be flying back to Europe for 2 weeks on tour with Jens Lekman. I've never had a chance to tour with Jens on his home turf and I'm really excited for him to show me where the good restaurants are for once. Jens, if you're reading, you had better start making a list. Meanwhile, I'll be in the process of finding a larger belt.
